Discovery

Discovery is an optical sorting machine
equipped with ultra‑high‑resolution cameras for
inspecting product on the conveyor belt. The system is used for
checking whole or cut agri-food products: fruits and vegetables.

Discovery can reject products with colour defects, blemished products,
and foreign bodies, even if they are the same colour as the good product.
The product is fed onto the inspection belt, which is used to stabilize it so
it does not roll. The inspection belt is clearly separated from the rejection zone in order
to avoid product splashes that could, over time, affect sorting accuracy.

Discovery is equipped with an air-rejection system with 288 electrically controlled
ejection valves. It can have a single rejection system or, in 3‑Way mode, two rejection systems
that separate completely unsuitable products from those considered second‑grade.
